Manchester United left certain media outlets in a state of shock after prohibiting their attendance at Erik Ten Hag’s recent press conference. While the decision surprised many fans and critics at the club’s decision, the Dutchman has doubled down on the outcome. During his press conference before the game against Chelsea, the manager stated that the media outlets should consult the club first, before writing anything about them.
Ten Hag’s tenure at Manchester United has come under severe criticism. Manchester Evening News posted an article last month that claimed that the manager had lost over 50% of the locker room. It seems their words did not sit well with the manager and the club, as the media outlets sent a message stating they were banned from attending the club’s press conference.

In his recent press conference, the Dutchman touched down on the ban on media outlets. Notably, Erik Ten Hag claimed that media outlets should consult the club before publishing anything. He also added that the news around the dressing room was untrue.
Ten Hag stated, “They should have come to us first and not go behind our back printing articles. That is not the right thing. We have a good relationship. They come to us beforehand. We have a debate about it.”
Ten Hag’s comments come after Manchester United blocked MEN from attending their latest press conference. The media outlet, in one of their pieces, claimed the manager had lost the support of over 50% of the locker room.
