The San Diego Wave FC forward also hailed the mix of players on the roster, praising the youngsters. “And there is definitely a mix of players from more veteran and experienced to inexperienced, to one or two major tournaments or five or six to none. But there are some players that have made their mark in such a short period of time,” Morgan said.
“You look at Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith, Naomi Girma. Those are players that have shown that they belong and will be here for many years. So it’s exciting to see what they can do in the World Cup and how they can really be a huge factor in us being successful this summer,” she added, talking about the budding talent.
