With the exit of Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain is already having a tough time finding the perfect replacement. Several rumors over Kylian Mbappe and his future continue to plague the Parisian club. Regardless, PSG continued their preparations for their pre-season friendly campaign against Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al Nassr.

Unfortunately, star players like Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe were not present during the friendly match. On the other hand, the Portuguese star was the biggest highlight of the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr faces PSG

Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr put on a gritty show and kept PSG goalless in the pre-season friendly, with the game ending 0-0. Although the Portuguese star failed to end Al Nassr’s losing streak, he created several chances for his teammates.

Notably, the 38-year-old showcased a moment of nostalgia, attempting a bicycle kick reminiscent of his spectacular goal against Juventus in 2018. Indeed, fans were stunned by Ronaldo’s fitness and showered support for their idol. Besides that, Ronaldo also made several attempts to open for Al Nassr, but failed to find the back of the net.

For the French club, Noah Lemina was the shining star, as the exciting talent was all over the pitch. Both sides created several chances; however, it was Al Nassr’s defense that was the highlight of the match.

Interestingly, Ronaldo’s most famous fan, iShowSpeed, was also present to support the soccer star. To everyone’s surprise, he encountered Kim Kardashian and her son who also flew all the way to Japan to witness the five-time Ballon d’Or award winner, just days after attending Messi’s debut.

After witnessing PSG’s performance, several fans were concerned about Kylian Mbappe’s rumored transfer exit. Without the presence of the French Captain, PSG had to settle for a goalless draw against Ronaldo. One fan even commented, “You guys are trash without Mbappe.” Most fans were, however, astonished by Ronaldo’s bicycle kick attempt.

The 24-year-old soccer star didn’t join PSG in their pre-season friendly campaign because of his rumored transfer move. The Frenchman has entered the final season of his contract and doesn’t wish to extend it further.

It looks like the soccer star sights on joining Real Madrid for free in the summer of 2024; however, the French giants want him to sign the extension or leave this summer. While Kylian Mbappe’s future remains foggy, fans are worried about PSG’s possible downfall.

Not to forget, PSG has put the French forward on the market and at least five clubs contacted PSG to register their interest in signing Kylian Mbappe. Among all the contracts, Al Hilal has opted to act as a one-year stop-gap option and offered up to $700 million deal to the Frenchman, as per rumors.
