Ryan and Rob have different goals apart from financial needs from Wrexham

Profits matter for every business, but Ryan explained the thought process of running Wrexham. In the interview, he explained, “Ultimately, like any business, you want it to be able to self-perpetuate and continue growing. You don’t want to lose money, but I don’t think either of us are in this to make money either.” The duo was clear in their ambitions for the club and aimed to take them to greater heights. 

Ryan continued, “It’s just about growing the best possible club and finding value in any place that we can find value, whether that is financial or emotional. Sometimes it can be indistinguishable.” Considering the club’s massive brand value, the team attracted diverse players like Ben Foster to help them get promoted. The squad has an average weekly wage of $1247 and is distributing their wealth well. Compared to other soccer clubs in the league, Wrexham has money.

But having losses would be a problem for the club in the future. Suddenly, the club runs out of money, and the owners would invest heavily from their own pockets to steady the ship. 

Losses can hurt soccer clubs or any sports franchises 

They highlighted the club’s finances in the annual financial report. According to the Mirror, the club recorded losses of $3.7 million in the report but had a turnover of $7.4 million. Likewise, the Hollywood Boys spent around $12.4 million to restructure the club’s finances and keep them running in the league. 

Despite having a long-term investment model, the owners are not in it for money. They want success. They aimed to bring excitement to a town that wanted their soccer club to perform.
