Recently, Reynolds and McElhenney were on the Fearless In Devotion podcast recently. It was after the club’s players and owners enjoyed the celebrations in Las Vegas. They talked about transfers, the Las Vegas trip, the spirit in the locker room, and a possible chance of Taylor Swift performing at the Racecourse Ground. However, Reynolds spoke about the Wrexham people passionately while taking a shot at the US and England.
While speaking of Wrexham people, Reynolds said, “For me, it’s probably how impossibly kind the town is. It’s amazing to me to hear so many stories of locals just offering people a ride to the airport or a ride to their hotel. You can’t fake that. That’s the thing that I think I’ve been most impressed with somebody who grew up Canadian, and there’s a real kinship there that I feel between Wrexham and Canada.”
The love and passion Reynolds shares for the club is well known. But it goes beyond the club, as the owners have also invested in the community. The comments of the Deadpool star are a testament to how kind and passionate the people of Wrexham are. It has created a strong bond between the owners and the community.
Reynolds further shared some similarities between his native Canada and Wrexham. In the process, the star took a friendly jab at the US and England.

“We both have much louder, bigger, attention-hogging neighbors. You guys have England. We have the United States. I think that creates a kind of camaraderie and a kind of identity within the country that you just can’t replicate. It’s just really special, and I see it in Wrexham and certainly in Wales,” Reynolds said.
Reynolds and McElhenney have a vision and plan to take the Red Dragons to the Premier League in the next ten years. The team has taken the first step by getting the promotion to League Two. Whether the world’s third-oldest club makes further strides next season remains to be seen.
