Cristiano Ronaldo has been in substantial form in the Saudi Pro League. However, his performances have been under the scanner for different reasons. The player has had some disagreements with match officials in his past few games. In an interview, Colombian referee Wilmar Roldan talked about his dispute with the player during the Al Nassr vs Al Hilal game, claiming the Portuguese star became desperate.
Ronaldo will be in action tonight as his side takes on rivals Al Ahli. Al Nassr has been in excellent form this season barring their defeat to Al Hilal and will hope to find a win tonight to close the gap with Al Hilal who at the moment sits at the top of the table with 50 points to their name.

Colombian match official Wilmar Roldan has emerged as one of the top match referees in the world in recent months. Roldan was recently in charge of the heavyweight clash between Al Nassr and Al Hilal that saw him butt heads with Al Nassr skipper Cristiano Ronaldo. In an interview with El Colombiano, the match official touched on his heated argument with the Portuguese star.
Roldan began with how Al Nassr vs. Al Hilal match had a goal disallowed because they have semi-automatic offside technology. He added, “It seems that from the substitutes’ bench, they were reviewing the action and told Ronaldo that there was nothing out of place. What he tells me is that the assistant was making a mistake, and I told him that we were relying on a semi-automatic system and suddenly he didn’t understand and became desperate. But you cannot fight against technology.”
