Former USWNT star Megan Rapinoe had another great day at the office. OL Reign defeated Angel City 1-0 in their latest outing in the NWSL. The side following the win has secured their place amongst the top four. OL Reign will be looking to end the season on a positive note providing an apt farewell to club icon Megan Rapinoe. Following their latest win over City, Rapinoe was present in a press conference where she got too excited, as she had to be calmed down by her teammate.
OL Reign seemed to be big a fix against Angel City last night with none of the two teams able to break the deadlock. However, while Rapinoe was subbed out, her fellow teammate Veronica Latsko emerged as the hero for the team, finding the winner in the dying minutes of the game to secure three points for her side.

OL Reign icon Megan Rapinoe could not seem to contain her excitement following the team’s win over Angel City. The player seemed elated following the game and was in an enthusiastic mood during the press conference. While talking to the press Megan in excitement, exclaimed “F**k yeah!” which saw her teammate Veronica Latsko give her the side eye before asking her to stop.
Latsko then talked about the game, praising her teammates while describing the quality present on the team. Meanwhile, Rapinoe looked like a baby who had her candy stolen as she stared down at her feet as her teammate addressed the media.

This is going to be Megan Rapinoe’s last season in the NWSL as the USWNT star announced her retirement earlier this year. The former national star had an impressive career for her club and country, racking up accolades over the years.
OL Reign was in desperate need of a win in their last outing against Angel City. The side before the game had twenty-nine points to their name, and anything less than a draw would see the side fall out of contention for the playoffs.
Veronica Latsko emerges as the hero for OL Reign
Megan Rapinoe and OL Reign came in hunting for a win last night. However, the side received stiff competition from Angel City gave their all throughout the game. None of the two sides could break the deadlock for most of the game. It was Veronica Latsko who provided her team with a moment of brilliance in the dying moments of the game.

The 87th minute of the game saw fullback Phoebe McClernon make a run down the flank before supplying a brilliant cross into the box. Latsko capitalized on the opportunity as she headed the ball into the back of the net to provide her team with the late winner. With the side, OL Reign secured three crucial points to jump to the fourth place on the points table.
