Gerard Pique and Shakira met during the 2010 World Cup and would soon start dating. But due to a rift between Shakira and Roccuzzo, Pique almost didn’t attend his FC Barcelona teammate’s wedding.

Messi tied the knot with his teenage love Antonella Roccuzzo on 30th June 2017, in his hometown. With a total of 260 guests, many of Messi’s then-club-mates like Luis Suárez, Neymar, and Sergio Busquets attended the event.
It came as a shock when it was reported that Gerard Pique and his then-girlfriend and star singer Shakira had almost been cut off from the list. According to reports, Pique’s ex-girlfriend, Nuria, was a close friend of Antonella. She wasn’t happy with how things ended between them. However, in the end, both Pique and Shakira attended the wedding.
Messi met Antonella when he was just 5 years old. She was the cousin of his best friend, Lucas Scaglia. They eventually fell in love and have been together ever since. Lionel Messi made a deal with Barcelona when he was 13, leaving the country to be Spain. Years later, he reminisced about how he promised Antonella that he would be back soon, and spend his life with her, and on 30th June 2017, he fulfilled his promise.
Gerard Pique and Shakira got separated after 11 years
Gerard Pique and popular Columbian musician Shakira were in a relationship for over 11 years and have two kids named Milan and Sasha. They shocked everyone when they announced their separation suddenly.

While addressing their separation in June this year, Shakira said,” Um, and yeah, it’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so it’s been tough not only for me but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult”.
