FC Barcelona fans remain emotionally tethered after Xavi’s departure announcement. Mixed sentiments surround Camp Nou’s air. Some are keeping their heads up and looking forward to a new chapter, while others are locked in a time capsule. While fans continue to reel from the unexpected news, the rumored reason behind the exit of Xavi is that he couldn’t take any longer ‘the daily betrayal and double language.’
Xavi asserted ‘fatigue’ and ‘exhaustion’ as a few of the reasons to step down as a Catalan coach. However, renowned Spanish journalist Pipi Estrada blames one person, who is responsible for the events that transpired in the last few days. On the latest installment of El Chiringuito TV, he said, “Xavi is leaving because he no longer can stand the daily betrayal and double language of Deco.” Aside from criticizing the current Sporting Director of Blaugrana, Estrada brought predecessors of Deco into the discussion.
“Xavi realised this the moment Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff left, who were his best friends and whom he had the utmost trust in. And when Deco arrived, Xavi said, ‘I’m dead with this,'” he concluded. This is certainly a huge revelation. Notably, another revered journalist Sique Rodriguez also claimed that Xavi had a ‘lack of support’ from several club members. Moreover, Deco had also denied the signings of players like Joshua Kimmich, Bernardo Silva, and Martin Zubimendi, which the former Al Sadd manager was keen on getting to the Catalan club.

Whatever it may be, the feud with Deco might be just one of the reasons. Sporting and financial challenges also reportedly contributed to his departure. Notably, aside from a few fans, Joan Laporta was also not in favor of Xavi’s exit.
