During the recent hearing by Judge Sebastian Prentis Southend United’s representative, Barrister Hilary Stonefrost hinted that new owners are very well present.

She revealed, “To ensure the business of the company can survive under its present ownership long enough for a sale of the company’s shares to new owners”.

Stonefrost even added, “The salaries of the footballers and the footballing staff have to be paid today… and if they are not paid, new owners can walk away”. There’s no doubt that these court orders bring a victorious air to the team. However, many still question skeptically whether the celebrity figurehead will be a part of the team.

Although Johnson has not yet made any comments on the topic, nor has he been officially linked with the takeover. But the probability of him being the one getting the team out of its current turmoil is very high. After all, Johnson would not be the first celebrity to make this move.
