That die-hard fan is Walter Clar, a professional soccer player from Paraguay. The left-back valued at approximately $786k, created an imaginary scenario in which he comes to Ronaldo’s rescue on the Titanic submarine. In his humorous approach, he did so by reflecting on a Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson-like rescue mission.

While this saddening incident has left million heartbroken, Clar chose to use it to inject a light-hearted moment by sharing his affectionate gesture towards Cristiano Ronaldo with his fans.

Taking to his Instagram story, Clar posted a humorous video, portraying an imaginary situation in which “Cristiano Ronaldo is on the Titanic submarine”. In lieu of a real-life rescue mission, Clar used a scene from the hit movie ‘Baywatch’ featuring Dwayne Johnson. The scene depicts ‘The Rock’ dramatically jumping from a jetski into the ocean, surrounded by flames, to save a girl.

Clar’s playful post aimed to provide entertainment while also expressing his love for Ronaldo. The witty combination of a fictional rescue mission and the reference to Ronaldo added a comical element to the situation. This further highlights the unwavering love the striker continues to receive from his fans. Ronaldo’s huge fanbase transcends the boundaries of the sport as evident from his recent achievement of becoming the most well-known figure in Portugal.

In June a study was conducted in Portugal. The ‘Public Figures and Digital Influencers’ aimed to determine the most widely recognized public figure in the country. And it comes as no surprise that soccer icon Ronaldo was crowned as Portugal’s top celebrity. 13.2% of participants identified him as their first response.

This solidified his status as the most well-known public figure in the nation. With his exceptional achievements for the nation Ronaldo has earned widespread admiration from supporters throughout Portugal. Undoubtedly, it is evident why the 5x Ballon d’Or winner remains in the spotlight today, as he continues to excel as an esteemed athlete and notable figure in popular culture.
