Morgan had the perfect response to Ohanian’s question, saying “I can help you with that”. Ohanian then replied, “DM please!” Following this interaction with Morgan, Alexis Ohanian became an investor in Angel City FC. It’s unclear if this conversation with Morgan had any influence on Ohanian’s decision, but it’s still an amazing story.

Ohanian initially sought help from Morgan, yet ultimately found themselves in competition against one another. In the end, these two were labeled ‘Rivals’.

Alex Morgan has found herself a new rival, Alexis Ohanian. Ohanian is also an investor in the new NWSL team, Angel City FC. This puts him in direct competition with Morgan, who plays for the San Diego Wave FC in the NWSL. Despite being rivals on the soccer field, Morgan and Ohanian have a surprisingly friendly relationship off the field.

In fact, Morgan has even stated that Ohanian has been a great mentor to her, helping her navigate the world of venture capitalism. “We’re rivals on the soccer field. But off the soccer field, he’s really helped guide me in the VC space,” Morgan said of Ohanian in an interview.
