Wrexham owners explain their toughest business challenges

In the interview, the hosts questioned Ryan about his challenging investment, and he stated, “I would say Wrexham. I think the Wrexham project is the biggest business risk because you have so much more to lose than win.”

Owning a soccer club is really challenging. They have what it takes to go bust or go to levels they can’t think of. The signings, sponsorships, and matchday income all contribute to the business. And without a widened fan base, things won’t work out for the soccer club.

Adding to the conversation, Rob mentioned, “It’s a tremendous responsibility. I mean, it’s the kind of thing where there’s such an emotional component to this. And it’s such a tremendous responsibility that I think that that’s what makes it so dangerous.”

Reynolds continued, “Yeah, and we’re also, you know, really kind of tinkering and, you know, helping motivate the destiny for the third oldest football club on the planet that plays in the oldest international stadium on the planet.
