Wrexham AFC is ready to start its journey in the EFL League Two next month. But the memories of their enthralling title-winning season are afresh. The fans, owners, and players still cherish those heartwarming memories.

Apart from winning Vanarama National League and getting a promotion, what garnered more attraction was the grand Las Vegas party. The players were overwhelmed by the celebrations thrown by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. After Ben Foster spilled beans a few days ago, Paul Mullin shares details that left him stunned.

It was a scintillating team effort from Wrexham to get automatic promotion. But there were a few players who garnered the attraction of the fans by their performances. Paul Mullin was one of those players who shone for the Red Dragons last season. Though he missed the National League Golden Boot, the Liverpool-born striker scored 47 goals (38 in the league).

Mullin was on the GOAL’s Box to Box program recently. He spoke of owners, the season, and the Las Vegas party, amongst others. When asked about the celebrations in Las Vegas, the striker said, “It was really quiet. We just sat by the pool and stuff like that. Not much really happened. It was quite subdued.” But it sounded the opposite of what Ben Foster said recently. But wait! The moment he completed the statement, Mullin laughed.

It seems he was in a mood to create humor. But then he detailed the reasons that blew up his mind. “It was incredible. The owners obviously the way they treat us at Las Vegas was phenomenal,” he started. “We walk into nightclubs, and Steve Aoki is playing a set, and he stops the set to welcome us in, and he’s playing our fans singing my song as I’m walking into a nightclub. I was like, ‘Whoa! This is mind-blowing.'”

It was an exciting moment to listen to the familiar song at a $500,000 party. Moreover, famous DJ Steve Aoki, worth $120 million, played the track for the player whose goals have earned him a tremendous fan following.

Wrexham AFC’s jewel in the crown

Who would have thought Paul Mullin to give up a chance to play in the third division? But a phone call from Rob McElhenney worked its magic. What seemed like a dream became a reality in the summer of 2021. And the Liverpool-born striker hasn’t seen back since the move.

After winning the League Two Golden Boot, he continued his form and won it again. But this time in the National League with the Reds. His 26 goals in the first season were enough for him to top the goalscoring chart in the league. He continued his form and scored 38 goals in the National League this season, with Golden Ball in the FA Cup for nine goals. The fans will hope for Super Mullin to shine again next season, as they are already dreaming of another promotion.
