Real Madrid made history last night as the side bagged their record 15th UCL title. Los Blancos once again showed why they are “The Kings of the Champions League”, with Carlo Ancelotti‘s men putting on a clinic at Wembley. The English venue was filled with some top celebrities, from NBA stars to Hollywood. Among them was Wrexham‘s director, Humphrey Ker, in attendance.

During Madrid’s title celebration, Ker shared a story on his Instagram handle, taking a humorous poke at the European Champions. The Wrexham director in his story could be seen chanting, “You’ll never sing that. You’ll never sing that. Champions of National League. You’ll never sing that,” all while Real Madrid lifted the European title. While a section of fans seemed annoyed at his antics, his words were nothing more than funny banter. Everyone around Wrexham has done their part to keep the club prominent on and off the pitch. While their social media game is quite the spectacle, what’s next on their soccer calendar?

Wrexham boss eager to sign top names come summer

Phil Parkinson has big plans for the Welsh club as they return to League One. Wrexham is returning to the top half of the EFL pyramid in over two decades and the team will be eager to make a splash. According to reports, the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney co-owned club is quite eager to sign Marc Leonard. The Brighton star spent two seasons on loan at Northampton Town and will be available for purchase come summer.

However, Wrexham has their work cut out in their quest for Marc Leonard. Rivals, Oxford City, are also interested in signing the Seagulls star and could get into a bidding war with the Welsh side. The team is also reportedly in touch with ex-Wigan trio Stephen Humphrys, Josh Magennis, and Tom Pearce. Wigan released them earlier last month and Phil Parkinson believes they could benefit by adding those names to their squad.
