Forsberg was involved in an unfortunate scramble during the game. The medics had to get Forsberg off the ice on a stretcher. Reports later claimed that the goaltender had suffered an MCL tear in both his knees.

There was a glimmer of hope after NHL columnist Bruce Garrioch recently tweeted that the goaltender would not require surgery. However, he did mention that the NHL giants are still assessing the grade of the injury. While the fans felt a bit revealed, Ryan Reynolds shockingly liked Garrioch’s tweet. Apart from that, Reynolds also has the support of the NHL commissioner himself. A month ago, the NHL commissioner, Gary Bettman, made it very clear that he wanted Reynolds to be associated with the NHL.

Bettman believes that the Wrexham AFC co-owner has the natural ability to garner a global audience wherever he goes.
