Quite a few fans poked fun at the Portuguese soccer legend. Many teased Ronaldo and wanted to know if he’d be back with Piers Morgan for another interview. The other fans still continued to criticize Ronaldo for his decision to move to Saudi Arabia.
Without a doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest soccer players of all time. But his decision to opt out of playing European soccer will always be a very controversial one. Quite a few soccer fans believed that the Portuguese soccer legend still had a few years of top-quality soccer still left in him. It remains to be seen if Ronaldo can actually create a fan following for soccer in Saudi Arabia. However, it will take quite a while to win back a few fans on his side who are still upset over him leaving European soccer. Halfway through the season, Al-Nassr is currently leading the points table with 33 points. Al-Nassr will have to win the league in order to qualify for the AFC Champions League next season.
