What if your partner retires from the sport before you and starts to enjoy life? And you are gearing up for a new soccer season starting soon? A feeling of jealousy starts to creep in. And that is what is happening with Megan Rapinoe.
USWNT star’s fiancee Sue Bird retired after 19 seasons in the WNBA. The WNBA legend is living a relaxed life currently, and her partner is preparing for the new NWSL season. NWSL kicks off this month on March 25. Rapinoe is back from USWNT’s successful SheBelieves Cup campaign and will soon join OL Reigns ahead of the new season.

Bird hung her boots last year after competing in the 19th season of the WNBA. She played her entire career with Seattle Storm and won four championships with the franchise. Ever since hanging her boots, the 42-year-old is relaxing a bit too much and is trying to do just nothing.
The legendary point guard is currently doing things at her will and thinks this time will never come back. She is thoroughly enjoying her retirement life, drawing the reaction of jealousy from her partner Rapinoe. The relaxed lifestyle of her partner is “bringing up a lot of jealousy,” for the 37-year-old soccer star.
I spoke to Sue Bird about retirement life and how she's really enjoying "doing what I wanna do when I wanna do it."

Rapinoe was talking to the media on Monday, where she confirmed that Bird is in Hawaii to enjoy her vacation. OL Reigns forward joked that watching Bird chilling in Hawaii and skipping her daily workout makes her jealous. She said, “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, are you getting paid to go to Hawaii? What’s happening? Is this what it’s gonna be like?'”
Rapinoe will hope to have a better season for the OL Reigns as the forward is in contention for the World Cup roster. She is focused completely on the new NWSL season, and the retirement life of her partner won’t distract her as a spot in the pinnacle tournament is on the line.
