The first of the two statement-making soccer games has kicked off in Riyadh. But the entire notion of a tight contest was shattered as Al Hilal bamboozled Inter Miami’s defense, scoring two goals in under 13 minutes. However, it looks like there’s not even an ounce of friendship between the two Saudi clubs. The 18-time Saudi Champions took the opportunity to troll their rival team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, along with Lionel Messi.
It is all about who would prevail between Lionel Messi’s American club and the depleted Saudi giants, Al Hilal. But Al Hilal is showing the club, which finished 14th in the MLS last season, why they remain untouchable until now. The club has not lost a single game in all the major tournaments this season, and they are not staying silent.

Coming into the game, Serbian ace Aleksandar Mitrović put Al Hilal ahead in the 10th minute. An attempt from Inter Miami midfielder David Ruiz turned into an offside, leading to an attack by the hosts and the ball being buried into the bottom right corner by the former Fulham striker. The club from Florida, who regularly knocked at the door, returned with a goal in the 34th minute from Luis Suarez.

However, loaded with twists, the club’s leading goal scorer, Mitrovic, redeemed the lead to 2-0 in the 44th minute. Al Hilal led 3-1 after the first half, but the second half saw another turn, with Inter Miami clawing back with two quick goals, making it 3-3 each in the 55th minute. On the whole, it is the 4-time Asian Champions that are repeatedly getting ahead of the MLS team, with the Brazilian Malcom heading their 4th in the 88th minute. A stunning victory for Neymar’s side, nonetheless.
