But, it’s not the end until he says so. The 38-year-old believes he’s still going strong and is hell-bent to play even in his 40s.

The ongoing chapter in Ronaldo’s career is nothing short of exemplary, in more ways than one. The Portuguese is still winning games for Al Nassr and his national team, and he doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. In the latest interview, CR7 shared his thoughts on his career.

Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to play at the highest level in his 40s

Cristiano Ronaldo surprised many, if not all of his fans throughout the globe recently when he took one of the hardest challenges of his life, which he believes is a lie detector test. In a promotional stint for a cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Ronaldo sat down with a professional polygraph examiner and had a test, in which he discussed a number of topics about his career.

Interestingly, in the lie detector test, the examiner asked the five-time Ballon d’Or winner if he’ll still be playing at the highest level in his forties. Cristiano gives an affirmative response to the examiner by saying, “Yes!”. The lie detector polygraph indicated his response as truth. This video went viral over social media, with fans cheering on Ronaldo’s determination and talent.

Cristiano Ronaldo has said that taking a polygraph test was one of the most difficult challenges he has ever faced. The 38-year-old had to answer a series of yes or no questions about his true feelings on a variety of topics. And he had no way to hide his answers.

Ronaldo still going strong for Al Nassr

The Portuguese superstar joined Al Nassr in January of this year, after deciding to part ways with Manchester United last year. Ronaldo has been excellent for the Saudi giants so far, with netting 25 goals in 29 matches across all competitions. Although Ronaldo and Al Nassr had a pretty slow start to the star-studded Saudi Pro League season, the Portuguese talisman has kept an electric form since his past two outings.

Ronaldo scored a stunning hat-trick against Al Fateh in Al Nassr’s 5-0 victory in the league. He came close to a second-straight treble in his next game against Al Shabab when he scored two and led Al Nassr to a 4-0 win. Ronaldo took his tally to 5 goals in two games and looks strong to compete for the top scorer spot in the Saudi Pro League.

With the likes of Benzema and Neymar also involved in the Saudi Pro League, it will be interesting to see who clinches the top spot for the highest scorer in the league.

Al Nassr will be next in action once again when they face Al Hazem away from home on Saturday, September 2nd.
