Player-coach David Jones, Paul Rutherford, Mark Carrington, and Shaun Pearson are some of the other names on the Wrexham team sheet. The Welsh soccer club will start its campaign against Como 1907, an Italian soccer club. Surprisingly, a World Cup winner from 2010 still plays for that club! It is none other than Cesc Fabregas.
English Premier League clubs like Wolves, and West Ham will also compete in this tournament. After this competition, the Hollywood duo will need to pull their socks up for their next soccer season in the EFL League Two. While it’s a new challenge for the Red Dragons, let’s take a look at Wrexham’s glorious last season.

Other than the last-minute shivers, Wrexham was quite brilliant during the entire season. Players like Paul Mullin, Ollie Palmer, Ben Tozer, and many more stepped up when their teams needed them the most. Then all of a sudden, Ben Foster appears out of nowhere during the business end of the season. Wrexham finished the season on 111 points from forty-six games.
It was a cut-to-cut battle with Notts Country for the #1 spot till the very end. Soon after the season, the Hollywood duo made a desperate attempt to sign Gareth Bale out of retirement. However, the former Real Madrid winger was quite vanilla about the unique opportunity. The jury is still out on whether Phil Parkinson can help Wrexham step up to the level of the EFL League Two.
