We are just days away from one of the biggest soccer events of the year. The Riyadh Season Cup kick-starts this Monday as Saudi Pro League heavyweights Al Hilal host Lionel Messi‘s Inter Miami at home. Dignitaries around the world are expected to be in attendance for the event. However, Al Hilal’s very own Neymar Jr could be absent for the event. The player is currently recovering from a ligament tear and might not make the trip to Riyadh.
Nothing is set in stone at the moment. The Brazilian has been seen enjoying parties on his cruise despite an injury and could return to Saudi Arabia for the marquee event. Neymar tore his ACL and Meniscus in October during an international clash against Uruguay. The player has been out of action ever since and is expected to make a return in August.

While superstars from all over the world will be in attendance for the Riyadh Season Cup, Neymar Jr could be absent from the guest list. The player is still on the shelf and is currently rehabilitating in Sao Paolo. But despite being on the shelf, the player has tried to keep supporting his team from home during their games.
Al Hilal fans were expecting the player to be in attendance this week as their side take on Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami. However, Neymar is unlikely to make the trip to Riyadh, with the player still in the recovery process. While the player has been seen enjoying parties on his private cruise, he has yet to move away from Brazil.
Traveling from Sao Paolo to Riyadh could be a risk to the player, further aggravating his injury. The Brazilian will not like to take any risks with his chances of playing in the Copa America 2024 depending on a quick recovery.
