He announced that Erling Haaland and Jon Stones will both be unavailable for the match against Newcastle due to injuries. Additionally, the 52-year-old also provided an update on Jack Grealish, who has been dealing with illness.

“Jack [Grealish] has been sick. Hopefully today he’s back,” stated the former Barca manager. Despite initial hopes of Haaland’s return for the Newcastle game, it appears that he has not yet fully recovered. In addition to these players, Pep Guardiola did not dismiss the possibility of Manuel Akanji returning after suffering an injury in the FA Cup match against Huddersfield Town.
Despite being substituted during the game, it appears that he will be available for the upcoming match against Newcastle United. Alongside providing updates on Erling Haaland and others, Guardiola also conveyed a heartfelt message to a former Manchester City boss who is currently battling cancer.
