Matheus Nunes arrested in Madrid—Is this the end of his career or just a bump in the road?

You might want to take your attention away from last night’s UEFA Champions League drama. Some shocking details have emerged regarding Manchester City star Matheus Nunes as reports suggest that in September, the Portuguese superstar was arrested and imprisoned in Madrid, Spain. This development has spread like wildfire, leaving everyone in the soccer world wondering about the exact reason behind the Sky Blues midfielder’s apprehension.

The startling incident dates back to September 8 at a Madrid-based nightclub La Riviera. As per the columns of Daily Mail, Nunes is said to have been accused of snatching a phone from a 58-year-old man who tried to take a photo of the City’s No. 27 without permission in the toilets of the nightclub. The arrest was allegedly made at around 5:30 am when the authorities apprehended him for further questioning.

Nunes caught the man clicking his picture, which must have angered the former Wolves man, resulting in him taking the phone from the individual. Despite constant appeals and attempts, he refused to return the phone in a rage. Therefore, per El Mundo, police were called to the scene and confirmed the soccer star was still in possession of the smart device.
