Cristiano Ronaldo fans have been hit with a massive setback. Saudi side Al Nassr made an official announcement during their press conference, breaking many hearts. The Middle Eastern side has canceled their planned Tour of China, with skipper Cristiano Ronaldo facing some unexpected issues. It is a colossal blow for fans across China who hoped to see the Portuguese superstar in action.

The side was set to take on the CSL side, Shanghai Shenhua, on January 24th. The game was to be followed up with another club friendly against CSL side Zhejiang. However, issues with Cristiano have forced the organizers to draw an early curtain on the planned tour.

Al Nassr issue official statement over Tour of China

Skipper Ronaldo is yet to recover from his injury issues, forcing the side to take drastic steps. During their press conference before the planned tour of China, the organizers issued an official statement noting, “I am very sorry to inform you that the Al Nassr Winter Tour will be postponed due to physical reasons for Cristiano Ronaldo. [He} is difficult to play due to injury. Tickets will be refunded in full and hotel tickets all-inclusive. Fans will be refunded their tickets in full and will also be reimbursed for their flight and hotel tickets.”

It is a massive setback for all the fans hoping to see the player in action in China. According to reports, Cristiano is struggling with muscular pain and is yet to recover from the issue. With Al Nassr set to take on Inter Miami on 1st February, fans will hope the Portuguese star can find his fitness before the fixture.
