The former Saudi star has also asked him to benefit from the form of the 38-year-old. Yet, those levels remain hard to match.

Al Nassr is currently in the title race with Al Hilal. However, there is a lot of work to do to close the gap between the league leaders. The Knights of Najd have done well to recover from their Riyadh derby loss. However, former Saudi legend goalkeeper Mohammad Al-Deayea has criticized the form of the star goalkeeper of the team, Nawaf Al-Aqidi. He further said, “Nawaf Al-Aqidi’s level is declining. I would like to know why he does not benefit from Cristiano Ronaldo and learn from him.” The reality is that the Al Nassr goalkeeper is struggling!

Nawaf Al Aqidi, in his last three matches, has conceded six goals. It means he is conceding two goals per match. The stat is certainly worrying for Al Nassr as they hope to remain in the title race. Luis Castro will keep an eye on the goalkeeping situation. The Saudi giants would want their star goalkeeper to improve and step up his performances with clean sheets.

There were reports earlier that manager Luis Castro had demanded three new signings from the ownership in January. A position that the fans are calling for improvement in is the goalkeeping department of the club. There is also another reason that could make space for a new goalkeeper to potentially sign for the Saudi giants.

Al Nassr is open to selling their veteran goalkeeper, David Ospina. The Colombian goalkeeper has recovered from his long-term elbow injury. Clubs from Mexico and Brazil have already made offers.
