German National team star Mats Hummels and ex-wife Cathy Fischer got married in 2015. The couple tied the knot at Bayerischer Hof in Munich after dating for seven years. However, their long-lasting relationship and marriage ended in 2022. Fischer announced that the couple had divorced in December 2022 but didn’t elaborate on why they parted ways.

“Looking back and remembering our time together as a couple. Now we are divorced, but we are optimistic to have a future together as parents and friends,” Fischer wrote after she and Mats Hummels finalized their divorce. However, just like the FIFA World Cup winner, Cathy Fischer also grew and established herself in media and as an entrepreneur. While she still uses Hummels as her surname on social media, today, she is much more than just the ex-wife of the German National Team star.

Catherine ‘Cathy’ Fischer was born on 31st January 1988 in Dachau, Germany. The 36-year-old met the Borussia Dortmund star around the mid-2000s, and the couple started dating. When Mats Hummels moved to Dortmund in 2008, she moved with him and completed her degree in business administration from Technical University Dortmund.
