Michele Lacroix is a well-known figure across Belgium and Germany, boasting 383,000 followers on Instagram. She met De Bruyne during his early playing days in Germany and has been alongside the player ever since, with the two tying the knot three years after meeting each other.

Apart from supporting her husband, Michele works as a social media influencer on Instagram, co-hosting the Dutch podcast ‘Secret Society’ on the platform. Additionally, Michele is a philanthropist, working alongside her husband with multiple charities to help those in need. Lacroix has also starred in a McDonald’s Belgium commercial alongside her husband, with the ad attracting much praise.

Kevin De Bruyne is just another hopeless romantic!

When you’re Kevin De Bruyne, confidence just oozes from every step. So, it’s hard to imagine the player hesitating to slide into his future partner’s DMs. However, that’s exactly the case with the Belgian. Kevin De Bruyne revealed how he met his wife in an interview in 2019.

“It started with a tweet. I only had a few thousand followers at the time because I was still on loan at Werder Bremen. So, I tweeted something about a match or whatever, and this pretty girl favorited it. I was single at the time, and my friend noticed it. So, he said, ‘She looks like a nice girl, no? You should send her a message,'” De Bruyne stated.

The player then added that he couldn’t even send Michele a text. His friend had to take over and drop a message on his behalf. De Bruyne continued, “Thankfully, he sent the message for me, and she responded. We got to know each other over text for a few months. It’s a lot easier for me once I get to know someone, so after that, I was good. It really was a beautiful thing.”

The duo has been going strong in their relationship since meeting each other in 2014. Kevin De Bruyne and Michele tied the knot in 2017 and have three children together. Michele is often present at the Etihad to watch her husband in action as she continues to support him on and off the field.
