Meet the brother of Dani Olmo: Carlos Olmo who followed Dani to Croatia
Dani Olmo was born on May 7, 1998, in Terrassa Spain and his brother Carlos Olmo is two years older than him. Born on Apr 23, 1996, Carlos also chose soccer just like his father, however, he took the footsteps of his brother to play in Croatia. Carlos started in the 4th tier of Spanish soccer with UE Sant Andreu. However, when Dani moved to play for Dynamo Zagreb, the most successful club in the nation, Carlos moved to Hrvatski Dragovoljac a club also based in the Croatian capital in 2015.

Playing as a defensive midfielder, the elder one did not make it as big as Dani but has been a part of multiple clubs. He was also a part of Karlovac1919, and NK Kustosija in the last two seasons but was not able to make a huge impact. Carlos accumulated just 20 caps in his senior career with just one goal to his name. Yet, he was back in Spain after spending eight years in Croatia and plays for the Spanish 5th-tier club San Cristóbal. Carlos and Dani Olmo were born to Miquel Olmo and Dorita Olmo. Their father was also a soccer player who played as a forward in the lower divisions of Spanish soccer. Subsequently, after his playing career, he took up technical management of many clubs including the second division in Spain. Born on Jan 20, 1966, the 58-year-old used to teach Dani how to read games and get better in soccer. His mother also played a major role in his soccer growth.
The mother of Dani and Carlos, Dorita Olmo is reported to have some Croatian origins.
