Daphne’s life today is very different from her upbringing. She was born in 1990 to a small family in Madrid. She focused on her studies at school and aspired to be a model. Become a successful model she did after having worked with major clothing and jewelry brands and in fashion shows.

Dani Carvajal and Daphne are said to have met through her sister Melanie and have been dating since October 2018. In the early days of courtship, the pair enjoyed holidays in Morocco, Ibiza, Altea, Dubai, and more. Soon after, at the end of 2020, the couple welcomed their first child Martin. Following this, Daphne had to take a break from her modeling career.

Besides being a model, Daphne also works as a wedding and events planner. As such, she is the co-founder of an event-planning company named Blue Weddings.  Speaking of weddings, she tied the knot with Dani Carvajal in June 2022 in Segovia. Notably, the event was organized by Daphne herself.

Joselu and Dani Carvajal are great teammates on the pitch but unknown to many is that the duo are brother-in-laws! As mentioned above, Dani Carvajal and Daphne Cañizares met through her sister Melanie. However, at the same time, Melanie was married to Joselu. Joselu was then playing for Alaves and had been with Melanie for more than a decade.

In 2023, out of nowhere, Real Madrid announced the signing of Joselu on loan. On paper, the striker was expected to be Karim Benzema’s replacement. It is not known whether Dani Carvajal had any input in the transfer. Regardless, Joselu proved to be a shrewd acquisition and his displays earned him a permanent contract at Real Madrid.
