So when a Twitter handle posted his pic arriving at Busquets’ farewell ceremony labeling him a legend was bound to garner mixed reactions from the fans. One of the fans wrote, “Who invited him?” A few fans followed suit by questioning the invitation of the former defender. A particular section of fans went on to say he isn’t a legend of the club.

Some fans demanded the club must do one farewell ceremony for the former World Cup winner. Most of the fans were in agreement with his legendary status at the club because of his immense contributions. The former Spanish defender announced his retirement last year. It was because of his reduced role with the club on the field.

The decision came as a shock to many. The former defender is now focusing on his new avenue, Kings League and Queens League. La Liga will end this weekend, and Sergio Busquets will then think of his future.
