Pep Guardiola’s side has already developed a plan like Julian Alvarez to integrate the 17-year-old into the club. They also signed the World Cup winner from River Plate. City, though, decided to let him stay for one more year on loan in Argentina. They are now going to use a similar blueprint for Claudio Echeverri. He will remain on loan with the Argentinian giants for one more season.
As far as long-term plans are concerned, City could make space in the squad this January. Midfielder Kalvin Philips could leave the club in January. It could fast-track Claudio Echeverri into the first-team plans after he returns from the loan.
