Lionel Messi is renowned not only for his incomparable skill on the field but also for his humility and genuine nature. Recently, Messi demonstrated his humble character once again by extending his congratulations to a popular streamer from his homeland, despite being on vacation.

The streamer in question is Coscu, an Argentine content creator who has gained a significant following through his live-streaming activities. Recently, Coscu participated in a celebrity boxing event called “Velada del Año 3” organized by Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, a close friend of Gerard Pique. This event was a resounding success for Coscu. As he emerged victorious and also received some nice words from the World Cup winner.

Lionel Messi couldn’t congratulate properly due to a ‘complicated time’

This boxing event took place in Madrid, Spain and Coscu emerged victorious in his match against Chilean YouTuber Germán Garmendia. While Lionel Messi is currently enjoying a vacation in Argentina, he made sure to take a moment to congratulate Coscu. Amidst his quality time with his family before officially signing his contract with MLS side Inter Miami, Messi shared a thoughtful message.

According to Coscu, during his stay in Madrid for the boxing event, he had reached out to the 7x Ballon d’Or winner and sent him some messages. In return, Messi “gave him a thumbs up”. The streamer then revealed what happened after the win. “The fight ended and Messi congratulated me,” Coscu said. “He could have congratulated me a lot more, but he told me that it was a complicated time because he was on vacation”.

Although Messi was unable to provide an extensive congratulatory message due to the complicated nature of being on vacation, he did express his genuine happiness for Coscu’s victory. Messi mentioned that his nephew informed him about the fight and added, “It’s good that you won”. He also revealed his goal of “for Messi to see my fight”. Despite this, the highlight of the event has to be the loud booing Gerard Pique received.

Gerard Pique, accompanied his friend Ibai Llanos, to make an appearance at the boxing event held in the Metropolitano stadium. This stadium is famously known as the home ground of Atletico Madrid, a rival soccer club to Pique’s former team, FC Barcelona. Despite coming to enjoy the event and show support for his friend, Pique was met with hostility from the fans in attendance.

As he appeared on camera for an interview, the atmosphere quickly changed from excitement to disdain. The sound of boos and whistles drowned out his voice. This left no doubt that the fans were not pleased to see him. Maybe it was because of his personal drama with Shakira or his status as a legendary rival player. However, one thing became abundantly clear – Pique found himself overwhelmed by an overwhelming chorus of disapproval from the fans.
