On November 9, 2023, the NWSL announced a groundbreaking deal for its domestic media distribution, valued at $60 million annually and totaling $240 million over four years. This monumental agreement stands as the largest broadcast deal ever secured by a women’s sports league. Under the terms of the agreement, a total of 118 matches will be broadcast across all four media partners.
The NWSL will kick off each regular-season weekend with Friday night matches on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, Saturday nights will feature a double-header broadcast on Scripps’ ION network. Furthermore, a selection of regular-season matches will be showcased on the CBS Television Network and simultaneously streamed live on Paramount+. Meanwhile, ESPN has secured a package of matches to be aired across its flagship channels, including ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes.
Furthermore, all NWSL matches broadcast on ESPN platforms and ABC will be available for live streaming on ESPN+ in both English and Spanish. The remainder of the NWSL regular-season schedule will be offered as part of a domestic direct-to-consumer package produced and distributed directly by the league itself.
