The father of Lamine Yamal, Mounir Nasraoui, was stabbed in an incident at a car park in Mataro, 20 km away from the Barcelona city center. According to reports from La Vanguardia, the unfortunate incident happened at 10:21 PM on August 14. The newspaper reported culprits stabbed Yamal’s father and transferred him to Can Ruti Hospital in Badalona. Although his condition was deemed serious, he is now ‘out of danger’ according to reports from Forbes.

As per reports from Relevo, Nasraoui, was in the condition with the situation serious at first. With the individual out of danger, the police officials are looking for the culprits of the incident. They also mentioned how the incident could have surfaced due to the aftermath of a fight in the morning for unknown reasons.

The Mossos, the Spanish police force, arrested several people connected to the incident. A Catalan news claimed Nasraoui was walking his dog in the Rocafonda neighborhood. After that, some people yelled at him and threw water from the balcony. It led to a fight and during that incident, he got stabbed. Neighbors have detailed the incident as per reports and gave a full description of the attackers involved in the stabbing of Lamine Yamal’s father.

The Mossos have arrested approximately three people in connection with the incident and are currently searching for the fourth suspect. A video surfaced on social media regarding the incident in the morning. We saw two cops taking Nasraoui away from the argument spot while two other police officials talked to the other people involved in the fight. Mataro’s Mossos d’Esquadra police department’s investigation unit took over the case and located multiple witnesses. But a clear picture of the incident is still missing. Several theories are out there, with the video surfaced in the morning, which could have some clues related to the incident.

Nasraoui came into the limelight after Lamine Yamal blossomed to life at the Euros. He became a crucial factor in Spain winning the Euros 2024. Fans often saw him in the stands enjoying the fun and frolic of the soccer atmosphere in Germany. There have been tensions developing within the family when Nasraoui attacked a tent set up by the Spanish conservative political party Vox in 2023, according to reports from Forbes.

As a consequence, the authorities directed Nasraoui to pay a fine of about $600 (€546) and provide $120 (€110) in compensation to a party supporter injured during the incident.
