The war of the rich has already begun in the Saudi Pro League and has reached a more serious phase. It’s eleven games done for all the teams, and Al Hilal has been the king so far. And its coach, who was under scrutiny a few weeks ago, is already threatening to bully the opponents. Despite his main player, Neymar’s injury, Jorge Jesus questioned his rivals about what would happen in Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence.

All the major teams in the Saudi League have followed Al Nassr and brought big soccer players from Europe. But the recent question by Al Hilal’s coach will draw the nerves of other top teams.

It was always going to be tough when all the teams tried and buy the best stuff in the market. The top teams like Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, Al Ahli, and Al Hilal invested and got the best. But now Al Hilal is asking other teams about how good they are with their firepower.

According to ESPN, Jorge Jesus said, “We’ve lost Neymar and we still have great quality in our game. What would it be like if Al Nassr lost Ronaldo, or Al Ittihad lost Benzema or Al Ahli lost Mahrez?”

Jesus said that his team consists of exceptional quality and questioned other teams about their strength parallelly. The Portuguese indirectly stated that his team has a good backup of players despite their marquee player, Neymar’s injury. But on the other hand, other teams have just one premium player whose loss can affect them big.

Ronaldo has been in terrific form and a top scorer for Al Nassr this season. Karim Benzema and Riyad Mahrez, on the other hand, have been the same for Al Ittihad and Al Ahli, respectively. But to say that the teams may totally depend on them can be an exaggeration. Much to Al Hilal’s disappointment, Neymar hasn’t been able to contribute in a big way until now.

Al Hilal’s dominance without Neymar

Neymar hardly played six matches for the club and scored only once. The Brazilian will be out this season with an ACL and Meniscus tear. Hence, Jorge Jesus has a valid point that the team managed to win even without Neymar. The team is currently at the top of the table, 4 points clear of Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

Jesus’ comments came after Al Hilal’s 3-1 victory over Al Alhli, despite Neymar’s absence. However, it would be pretty unfair to say that Al Hilal doesn’t depend on top players like other teams. Their top contributors are Alexandar Mitrovic and Malcom’s performance,s who are the expensive signings too.
