Soccer legends David Beckham and Gary Lineker took to different social media platforms to deliver their message. While Beckham shared the picture of Reynolds and McElhenney with the trophy, along with words congratulating the champions on Instagram, Lineker took to Twitter and shared his thoughts.
David Beckham took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “This makes me very happy… What a story & What an achievement.”

This fairy tale has indeed given a Hollywood-style ending to the second season of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’. While the first season ended with the team narrowly missing the chance for promotion, in the second season, the story will come full circle as they have achieved their goal and are ready to say goodbye to the National League.

Rudd joined his superhero buddy Deadpool aka Ryan Reynolds as the team dismantled their opponent to bag the automatic promotion. Fans went crazy, as they couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
