If you’ve watched the movie, The Terminal, you’d know just how chaotic airports can get. The Tom Hanks flick aside, airports have their own good and bad aspects. But in this instance, Katia Aveiro, the sister of soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo was the latest high-profile name to have a bad experience at Lisbon’s airport. This comes after CR7 reportedly ditched his sister Katia for their planned family event because he had to play a match for Al Nassr.

Ronaldo’s sister is currently shuttling between Portugal and Brazil as she continues her work as an entrepreneur and singer. However, Aveiro made her judgments and comments about her recent delay at Lisbon’s airport known to all her followers on social media.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Katia shares message about delay at Lisbon airport

Katia recently flew to Portugal from Brazil. Ronaldo’s sister traveled along with her partner Alexandre Bertolucci Jr. and their family. This was for her daughter Valentina’s christening, which took place in CR7’s hometown of Funchal in Madeira, Portugal.

Katia and her family, however, encountered a long delay on their return trip from Madeira to Lisbon to catch a connecting flight to Brazil.

Taking to her Instagram account, Katia posted a story which translated from Portuguese read: “We left the island for Lisbon. We arrived in Lisbon (unfortunately the airport was slow and the service was poor… There was no staircase for the staff to get out and we waited for about 25 minutes. This type of failure recurs there… What a shame)”, 

“Our flight left Madeira at 6am, on time, we arrived in Lisbon at 7.35am and got off the plane at 8am. We were still going to make a connection,” she added.

Ronaldo’s sister has 1.3 million followers on her Instagram. So it’s certain that her comments about the poor service at the airport in Lisbon reached a lot of people.

Ale Moreno, a pundit on ESPN FC’s podcast even stated that Ronaldo is gradually declining, ahead of rival Leo Messi. But Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes bailed Portugal out by scoring the only goal of the game giving them a 1-0 victory.

Portugal leads Group J with a 100% win record. They are on 15 points after 5 games and look like favorites to qualify top of their group for next year’s Euros.
