Wrexham has performed outstandingly well this year. The Red Dragons grabbed the National League title last season, bagging the promotion to League Two. The Welsh outfit, following their stunning run, has managed to level European champions Manchester City for an elite record this year. This will be a fresh breath of air for Wrexham fans who may be somewhat disappointed after Ryan Reynolds failed to deliver on one of his key promises.
Ryan Reynolds made a big promise to Wrexham fans before the takeover of the club. However, the club and management have failed to deliver on some that promise.

Wrexham level Manchester City’s elite record
The Red Dragons have been on a stunning run this year. The side, since their promotion to League Two, has shown great character. The Welsh club has maintained its momentum following their National League campaign from last season, winning a total of 22 games this year. The side’s figures are the same as treble winners Manchester City who have also emerged triumphant in 22 games.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson touched down on the team’s performances and said that he hopes that the team can continue to perform well in the coming games. Talking to BBC Sport Wales, Parkinson had this to say:

“We’re very proud of that because we’re up against some very good teams across the pyramid of football. To be up there and talked about with names like Man City is a great achievement for everybody at the club. Like Man City will be saying when they saw that stat come out and how well they’ve done, it’s about what’s ahead. We know that we’ve done well to be up there and talked about with those names, but it’s what ahead and how do we go again and achieve even more.”
While Wrexham has been outstanding on the field, the team management has failed to deliver on some key promises this season.

Ryan Reynolds fails to deliver on a key promise
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have done a great job since their takeover of Wrexham. The duo have done all in their power to uplift the club. However, while they made multiple promises when taking over the club, it seems like even the mighty Hollywood owners find it hard to deliver on their promises.
Wrexham has been trying to work on the renovation of the Racecourse Ground. The management has started to work on the Kop for the fans, but it seems like some issues have popped up before the construction even began. The club issued a statement on the matter as they touched down on the issue.
“The new Kop will not be open for the start of the 2024/25 season with a projected build period of 12 months from commencement on site. There is no date for starting on site, as several matters need to be resolved before that can be confirmed.”
