The story of Wrexham AFC is one of the best in recent times. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney invested heavily in the club from top to bottom, and fans are happy with the current success. Likewise, various owners find an interest in developing a soccer club from the start, but sooner or later, that spark fades away. It is a common occurrence in many other clubs. Therefore, in a recent interview, Ryan revealed how the fire has only reignited.

The interviewer hinted at how people would say the owners “will get bored if they have a bad season.” But Ryan had the perfect Hollywood reply. He wants people to understand that they are just getting started. The passion of both owners is something extraordinary. Having already invested $12.5 million in the club, they have incurred losses. Yet, they remain determined to move the club forward.

In the interview, Ryan explained how their relationship is just getting stronger. He stated, “I would say we’re both relationship guys. I think that’s pretty evident throughout our life. Yeah, we find the one we love, and we stick with it. I don’t know. I get that that’s kind of, I find that to be a bit of a lazy sort of position to take. Maybe it’s valid.”

The club recently received a promotion to EFL League Two, and the entire city is on a high. Moreover, the owners have started their plans for the next season, aiming to get back-to-back promotions.

He continued, “You have to look at what’s happened. You have to understand, like in the sports world, anything can happen. That’s just the name of the game. We don’t pretend it’s just salad days ahead. This is a journey. The great moments we have had so far do not exist without the bad. It’s just football. It’s a heartbreaking shitstorm of a sport, and we’re all addicted to it now.”
