Eventually joining OL Reign in the NWSL, the soccer star has bid countless adieus in her career, whether at the French club, Olympique Lyonnais, or at Sydney FC in the Australian A-League.
Throughout her career, Rapinoe has naturally formed meaningful relationships with players and club staff alike. However, it seems one of her club members is now leaving the NSWL club, which has led Rapinoe to pen an emotional message.

Goodbyes are often difficult. It must be the same for OL Reign’s club official, Katie Berger, who was working with the Seattle-based club as an Operations coordinator. However, now that she is leaving the club, Rapinoe has penned down an emotional message for Berger.

The USWNT star posted a picture of herself with Berger and wrote a heartwarming caption. “We’ll miss you, especially your epic last round of rondos. Legendary. G’luck boo.” It was indeed a heartwarming caption from the 37-year-old forward. Not only Rapinoe, but other members of the squad also penned an emotional message to Berger.
Rapinoe’s teammate, Lauren Barnes, also hailed her coordinator, saying, “You’ll be v missed! Good luck.” Moreover, another Reign star, Nikki Stanton, also had a few touching words to say. “Gonna miss ya Berger! You’ll be missed.”

All set for a crucial NWSL clash
It must have been a tough goodbye, but now the players have brought their focus back to the league. Laura Harvey’s side is currently preparing for an exciting clash against Racing Louisville. Rapinoe’s side will travel to the Lynn Family Stadium in order to clinch three points.

The fixture can sound easy for Reign, given both clubs’ domestic positions. Louisville is sitting in 8th place with just three points. On the other hand, Reign is sitting in second place with nine points. Moreover, Rapinoe’s side may already be confident after clinching an empathic 5-2 victory against the Chicago Red Stars.
