The support of the fans for any sport is vital. It can change the course of the game. Arguably, the best example to highlight the importance of home support is the UEFA Champions League campaign of Spanish giants Real Madrid last season. Wrexham will go into the game at the weekend knowing the win can guarantee the title and automatic promotion. They will play after the Notts County game, who will take on relegated Maidstone United. The game will be a tough fixture for the Ryan Reynolds club as they will go against the best defense in the league. Ben Tozer wants the fans to be right behind the club in the crucial game.
Wrexham AFC captain calls for support
Saturday will be the penultimate game for the Red Dragons in the Vanarama National League. They are on 107 points. The Red Dragons need three more to win the title, considering Notts County will win the remaining two games. Wrexham will take on Boreham Wood, currently sixth in the table. Ben Tozer feels the club fans at Racecourse Stadium will make the difference in the game against a team that has conceded the least amount of goals in the league.

Urging the fans, Tozer said, “I can’t wait, I love just playing games and sometimes at the Racecourse the emotion of certain games, the Sheff United, Notts County and I’m sure it will be the same on Saturday, but that’s exciting as well when you feel the energy and you feel everything in the stadium, that gives you a little bit more,”
The Red Dragons captain added, “They’re huge. You look at the record at home and the majority of that is down to them (the fans). Come, probably don’t get too drunk too early. Enjoy the day and give us everything that you’ve got and we’ll give you everything back.”

As stated earlier, Boreham Wood has conceded only 35 goals this season. It is the least by any club in the National League. They are currently sixth and are fighting for the promotion playoff place. Boreham Wood, on the other hand, has scored only 50 goals compared to 112 by Wrexham, the most in the league.
It will be a clash between the free-scoring team against the tight defense. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in the game. Wrexham attackers will have to be creative to get three points from the game. The Red Dragons will go all-out in the game to get three points and a promotion to the Football League after 15 years.
