The match started with a goal from Japan disallowed due to it being offside. Germany made the first and only goal of the half. It was clear, everybody thought that the match is going as per script. Japan, however, came to clutch the whole game in the second half.

Dramatic pre-game of Japan vs Germany

The match started with the protest of the German team against the Qatar FIFA WC. Manchester United legend Roy Keane slammed the team and asked them to wear an armband if they want to protest. He said, “It’s a gesture and it’s a start… They say they’ve been silenced but by who? Use your voice! Wear the armband! We always say leadership is about action!”

Twitter also raised their voice; some were supporting the German team while some were trolling them.
