This time, the focus has shifted toward the Colombian singer, who apparently is being accused of leveraging their split for her own gain. A popular TV presenter claims that nobody would talk about Shakira ‘even 1%’ if it wasn’t about the breakup.

Catalan La Sexta presenter Alfons Arus has pointed fingers at Shakira for allegedly benefitting from her split with Pique. He insists the pop star has capitalized a lot and turned the breakup into a lucrative business venture to boost her income.

As stated by the Principal, he said, “If it doesn’t end up being because of the divorce with Gerard Piqué, we wouldn’t talk about her even 1%.” Arus continued, “Shakira’s interest is that she is once again a single woman.” Arus also commented on Shakira’s 10-minute performance at the MTV Awards. During her performance, the singer revisited some of her most famous songs, including the one she collaborated on with Bizarrap, alluding to her past involvement with the soccer veteran and Clara Chía.

Arus made it clear that, from his perspective, the performance was not as spectacular as it has been portrayed by others. “There was an over dimension. I think that his performance was another performance of the gala,” he concluded. Indeed, yet another series of strong words for the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer. Since Shakira’s breakup with Gerard Pique, her financial success has seen a significant upturn. Her initial diss track with Bizarrap alone brought in a staggering $2.5 million. But the story doesn’t end there. According to reports, the music artist earned approximately $10 million from her single ‘Te felicito.’

Additionally, her collaboration with Ozuna on ‘Monotonia’ added another $3.5 million to her earnings.
