The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, has rocked the MLS with his move to David Beckham‘s Inter Miami franchise. But guess what, he is still searching for a home! In a recent interview, compared his current situation to the times when he was at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Some argued that the late Brazilian soccer legend Pele couldn’t make soccer popular in America, and that nobody ever could. But it’s certain that the boy from Rosario has managed to do so.

Messi completed his blockbuster move to the MLS in the summer transfer window leaving Parisian giants PSG. But the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has stated that he hasn’t found a property to house his family as yet. According to?a tweet by MLS journalist Favian Renkel, Messi said, We still don’t have the house where we are going to live for the whole stay…the kids will start school soon too.”

The soccer icon has suggested that moving to Miami and America was ‘easier’ than his move from Barcelona to Paris. According to the tweet, Messi said, “It was a lot more easier than we initially thought coming to live in Miami. We moved from Barca to Paris, and it wasn’t so easy.”

As reported by Yahoo Sports via CNN, Messi further said that he is ‘happy’ living in Miami, ?But it has been very easy, very easy. We were convinced we wanted to come here, and the people made it very easy. The people in the club and the people I see day to day in the streets and the amazing city. It makes living here very easy and happy,” the soccer superstar added.

The Argentine superstar is undoubtedly adjusting to a new league and new country. But it’s rather heartwarming that his family and himself are happy in the US.

The $600 million rich veteran has scored nine goals in six games for Miami after completing his move from PSG. It is safe to say that he has reinvigorated widespread interest in soccer in the US. Prices for tickets have skyrocketed as ‘Messi mania’, sweeps the country. However, come October 2023, Messi will certainly be looking to pick up his eighth and perhaps final Ballon d’Or.

Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are also nominated, but Messi is odds on to pick up the award for the eighth time, considering he captained and led Argentina to lift the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It’s perhaps a no-brainer that Messi will win the prestigious award. But personal accolades aside, it’s certain that American soccer fans will be buzzing to watch the soccer legend continue to play in the country as his illustrious career nears its twilight.
