The team is also battling for over a year with the soccer federation over pay equity. Amidst the turmoil, Canada Soccer has called for an immediate meeting on Saturday with the women’s team. All eyes are now set on the outcomes of the meeting where the federation will propose their deal over the equal pay issue. The support for the women’s team is growing, with USWNT star Megan Rapinoe coming forward to support them.
