Amid all the rumors, the Portuguese star announced he would join Saudi giants Al Nassr. Now, in an interview, Marcelo Salazar who is Al Nassr’s Executive Director has revealed how they signed one of the icons of the sport. He said, “We learned about Cristiano Ronaldo’s difficult time at Man Utd, and his desire to leave, and we in Saudi Arabia are dreamers, so we said why not sign him?”

After the move, expected criticism came from the experts, that Ronaldo was joining for the money. However, the Al Nassr star immediately shut the critics with his brilliant impact on the pitch. His goals are one of the main reasons, the Knights of Najd are in the title fight with rivals Al Hilal. The goals also helped him save his career with the Portugal national team.

Hence, for Cristiano Ronaldo, it has been nothing but positive vibes after moving to Saudi Arabia. As far as his Manchester United chapter is concerned, the Knights of Najd executive director indirectly trolled the Red Devils.

When Cristiano Ronaldo signs for a club, the expectations are immense. The case for the Saudi giants was no different. Ronaldo had stated that he felt the club hadn’t evolved and that in terms of infrastructure and facilities, a lot hadn’t changed since the early years of his first stint at United.
