Phil Parkinson, the Wrexham coach, recently shared inside information with a smile. With all eyes on Wrexham’s performance for League Two, keeping track of players’ fitness is equally important. The Wrexham players are back in pre-season training for a couple of days. Phil discussed players’ pre-season training performance after their return from the summer break.
He said, “I am pleased with the start of pre-season. The lads have come back in good shape, which we expected.” Phil also mentions that players continued their off-season programs and worked with their sports science team. Despite a long break, the Wrexham coach is excited to see players in action.

He also talk that pre-season training will help players mentally prepare themselves for future challenges. He further adds, ” The early signs are that there is a real feel of freshness about everybody coming back and excitement as well. There was a good feel about the group when they came back in last week and we are looking forward to progressing that this week on the training pitch.”
At last, he mentions, “We have got five weeks now to build up towards the start of the season”. Wrexham will embark on a four-game tour of America to prepare for its first campaign in the Football League since 2008.
