Mullin’s injury has seemingly given the Red Dragons a reason to bring a new center forward to the Racecourse Ground. The 28-year-old continued to recover in California after picking up the injury during the U.S. pre-season tour. Sadly, his collision with Manchester United’s Nathan Bishop punctured his lungs and broke four ribs.

Now, the good news is that the player has received the green light to return to Wrexham. However, he still won’t be able to get on the pitch. As per Peterborough Telegraph, Phil Parkinson said, “I am looking forward to getting Paul back in the building. He will go and see a specialist over here and then we will get an indication of how long he is out.”

Who is Mullin’s new replacement?

Earlier, several reports suggested that Ryan Reynolds and Co. had placed a bid for Peterborough United star Kabongo Tshimanga. The player has primarily been involved in non-league football for a significant portion of his career. Peterborough decided to acquire the services of the striker on a loan deal from Chesterfield for the rest of the 2022-23 season.

Earlier this summer, they finalized a permanent transfer. Subsequently, the forward even made his first start for Peterborough on Tuesday night against Swindon in the EFL Cup. He has yet to find the net for the Posh despite making 10 appearances, nine of which, surprising enough, came as a substitute. Whether he would be a perfect signing or not is yet to be decided by Wrexham. However, as of now, the Posh haven’t commented on such speculations.
