Wrexham has finally landed in the U.S. with high spirits. Likewise, manager Phil Parkinson shared his team’s experience in the country so far. While praising the “impressive” facilities of the university campus, he said, “All the lads are blown away by it. And we’ve been very well-looked-after as well, I have to say that. They’ve been so welcoming and can’t do enough for us, which is great.”
The Welsh side has made themselves at home as they are using Kenan Memorial Stadium’s facilities. The manager revealed he had a fruitful talk with the players while discussing the university’s success. He revealed that so far, a lot of people are coming to them and asking about the club. Parkinson recalls that a few Americans even came to him to talk about Wrexham during his European vacation with his family.

Parkinson then disclosed having a talk with the club’s advisor, Shaun Harvey, regarding the club’s future plans. He insisted that the team never expected to play in front of 50,000 people. The 55-year-old wants his players to cherish every moment. “You go home and people say, ‘What was the area like?’ And you say, ‘I didn’t see it.’ I don’t want that to happen on this trip. I want the lads to… experience each area we go to, so when we go back, we have a story to tell.” He said, as stated by Chapelboro.com.
Wrexham also visited the UNC Children’s Hospital, which Parkinson insists was a great visit. Nevertheless, it seems the Red Dragons are buzzing for their US tour as they look to leave a good impression and end the tour on a high note.
